I could see being a bit put off by finding out that you are expected to pay for the baker as they only come by to deliver the cake and are generally not present for much of the reception but everyone who is required to be there for any large amount of time should get to eat whatever your guests are eating, depending on how things are set up I could see having a staff table set up somewhere behind the scenes but they still get the good food.
