the La Quinta was on Geronimo, and I too am a brat, dad and granddad are both retired AF so yea, spent many many years on bases too.

0.0 I didn't think that one was still OPEN...

Grandad was staff sargeant retired, served almost...I want to say 50 years?? Enlisted when he was 19, been to Japan, Korea, Germany, various states, Vietnam...um...yeah, all over the place. Cousin currently in Korea, but looking to come back to the states soon on reassignment. Other grandad was also military, bounced around. Both parents are brats, both ended up in El Paso when grandads were stationed in Bliss and just stayed. I've got various aunts, uncles and cousins in the different branches, too many to count or remember.

granddad did a few years in the navy, moved over to the air force where he did S&R in the gulf of korea retired as a master sargeant and stationed stateside mostly, dad was 20 years and imaster sargeant as well, We spent 8 years in Germany 4 in Wiesbaden and 4 in Bitburg (they have some damned good beer coming out of that city).

So seriously, I cant catch a break. Ive been feeling like poop due to allergies and other complications for almost a week now. I go to get out of bed this morning at 8am (after only 4 hours of sleep because of my severe congestion) and for some reason or another my calf hit my beds edge the wrong way and cue instant FUCKIN HORRIBLE CRAMP. My husband wakes up b/c im crying and he gets me a banana... and some water.. Its now 330 pm, i have just been able to get outta bed (or hobble ) but I still cant walk right. It wasnt a cramp, but i dont know what it is. I literally cant walk now and therefore cant do anything i had to do today. FML.

Apparently the guys i shadowed today said I worked really hard and did a great job. She said Saturday is one of the busiest days and it wasnt even that busy. All I do as a page is check in books in the back (away from people! behind a pin-secured door!) and shelve books.

I helped one lady find a book!

So I made an excuse to go to the eye doctor (asked for a copy of my prescription)...saw the guy and he smiled and waved at me but he was busy so I didn't get to talk to him. Damn.
