I, unfortunately, don't have any dashi so my miso dosen't taste quite right.

I use homemade broth instead. (Just be glad I use the stuff without chicken). I can get three chicken carcasses for $2 at the market, there's enough meat on those suckers to make a chicken pot pie, as well as get all the broth.

And you get way more stuff for the broth pot if you shop at market. Celery leaves and shit like that.
