    Definitely a small can. A little tomato paste goes a long way. For example, in my chili, I use two large (29 oz) cans of tomatoes (one crushed, one whole), and one very small can (6 oz) of tomato paste.

    By the way, it's not too late to tweak the current batch. Bring it up to heat, add the paste, let it simmer a while, see what happens.

        My friend (who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu) indicates that yes there is a commercially available pepper vinegar. You can usually find it with other vinegar or in the gourmet food aisle.

        He's the one teaching me how to cook and grill better. Last time we BBQ chicken, he taught me that every time I turned on that grill before had been a farce.
