Hehe..Google's logo has a buckyball for one of the Os. My cousin posted about it on Facebook today.
I never actually met the guy (well, if I did I was very young). They moved to Chicago before I was born and to Houston the year after I was born, and he and my aunt were divorced as long as I can remember. He passed away about 5 years ago.
He did a talk at Bell Labs where my dad worked, and my dad took one of the flyers and put it on his bulletin board in his office. Some coworkers asked if he knew him and he said "Oh, he was the best man at my wedding."
