          • My first one arrived today from FenigDurak. I plan to send mine out on black Friday.

            • I'm not sending mine out for a while. Wait, is there a deadline or something for sending them out? I mean, we need to get them there by Christmas, right? Is that it?

              • Yeah, the cards should reach their destination by Christmas, or within the week after.

Christmas cards at Valentine's Day or Easter are frowned on, although I had a major brain fart and was very late getting mine out a couple of years ago.

That wasn't a brain fart, you had an absolutely valid reason.

I had cards get to me in Feb which to be honest was annoying (with the exception above) because I had made the effort make sure mine were sent out for the holiday season.

For those you doing this for the first year, cards that have to cross boarders take much longer than cards within the USA so if you can't afford to send out every card at once, send out the internationals first.

Is anyone else handwriting theirs? Or am I the only one who's a big enough dork?
I always hand-address my cards and I send out well over a hundred. I buy nice pens to use, too.

All the cards the fit with my idea are expensive. Like 6 cards for 25 dollars expensive. but there MUST BE BERRIES! THERE MUST! *returns to searching for Holly cards*
Cards w/ berries that aren't insanely expensive:

I might do mine by hand. I didn't last year but I did the years before (well, last year was the first we had them set to print on labels). But I kinda like doing it by hand.

                            • If I get them all out by Thanksgiving, will they get there in time?

Still need to get the photo printed for the front. And about half are addressed. My less then stellar handwriting looks good with a calligraphy pen :P

I can't wait to start getting cards. Need a place to put them

                              • I was browsing the US Post Office web site today and found their page for 2010 Holiday Shipping Cutoff Dates.

Their deadline for sending first class mail to Canada and Europe (UK) in time for Christmas is Dec. 10.
