Don't squee so hard when you find out that Alexander Siddig and Andrew Robinson (the actors of Julian Bashir and Elim Garak) themselves shipped Garak/Bashir from DS9.

You will get odd looks from your significant other.

Also don't do this while noticing that Garak circles Bashir like a hawk circles prey before he actually says hello because then you're just plain weird.

It's okay to giggle at all the sexual innuendos though.

I just finished A Song for Arbonne. It reminds me of The Lions of Al-Rassan more than it reminds me of Tigana. Why can't all of Guy Gavriel Kay's books just be Tigana?

I loved Arbonne! Tigana, not quite as much; as I recall, there was a romance near the end of the book that just didn't convince me; there was no sign of it throughout most of the story, then suddenly, "We're in love."

I should read that one again, though. Maybe I just missed some clues in the story.

Sailing to Byzantium was cool, too. And the sequel (mind's gone blank, can't remember the title).

Wait, what? Damn, how did I miss that? I love DS9, it's my fave Star Trek spin-off, and I never noticed that.

The writers never liked the idea though. But just watch the season 4 episode 9 and watch Garak.

When Bashir shoots Garak ....etc.

And even that first episode where they meet.

Or the one episode where Garak is weaned off a device that creates massive endorphin rushes and Bashir stays with him all night and...yeah...
