So, on Monday, I turned *coughcoughthirtycoughcough* years old. TTO was very hush hush on the present he was getting me...

I found out today what it was ...


He's taking me on an internationally accredited openwater SCUBA diving course!! *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*

The lectures are Saturday and Sunday, and the actual dives are next week Friday (a holiday here in SA) and Saturday. ZOMG - how freakin COOL!!!

@telecom_goddess - South Africa is very nice Haven't lived anywhere else (though I have visited some other countries). We have good food, good wine (VERY good wine) and some damn nice beaches and wildlife

I was in SA in March '09 and yes you do have VERY good wine. I just can't remember the name of the one I liked the best

Awesome! I've been PADI certified for... lesse... something like 10 years now. I love diving. If you are looking for a good dive destination... try Bonaire. It's a flat, barren rock with nothing on it (save for a few dive resorts) but it is some of the best reef diving i've seen. Also, St. Lucia is absolutely beautiful, both above and below the water.
