I never gave her swords (her mother would never permit it), but I DID trust her with knives. How much so? The only 13-year-old that I would ever trust with a knife, to the point that she was my sous chef 4 years ago when I did a four course 20 person sit down dinner for a friend who was trying to start a dinner club. Only myself and Dragon in the kitchen. AND she was serving tables as well. That day her birth certificate may have said she was 13, but for all intents and purposes she was 35. And she was absolutely thrilled that I trusted her with such responsibility (and sharp implements).

That and I let her drink beer and rum at my place many times.
