Big weekend (so far) for Luna!

    Big weekend (so far) for Luna!

    We have a dog show this weekend and it is the first dog show in the USA where there is more than one vlcak with different owners and lines (true competition, not like a breeder showing all of their dogs).

    Luna and Pollux (Pongo) were both showing today in both UKC shows.

    In show one, Luna won best in breed over Pollux as well as received a group 3 (third best dog in the herding group) placement.

    In show two, Luna again won best in breed over Pollux but won a group 2 placement (second place in the herding group).

    So right now Luna must be ranked (not hard to do when you can count the show stock on your hands ) but if she gets breed over Pollux tomorrow she'll also have her UKC championship!

    Day two - again Luna got best in breed in both shows and also got group 3 placements in both shows.

    So, Luna is officially a UKC champion.

        Oh wow!
        Granted, not much in the way of competition, but it was a competition nevertheless!
        Do you have any pics of her strutting her stuff in the ring? With a ribbon or trophy?

            No pics, the rings was under a pavilion and even though it was sunny out it was too dark under there to take pictures.

            And no photographers, either.

            We're glad she got her wins out of the way, though. As my wife said, "Pollux was her points dog this weekend (meaning the dog that Luna get the points) but when he grows up it'll be the other way around. He's going to grow up to be a very good looking dog.

              we need pics!!

              I wish I could have a dog, but I don't have a yard. I can't justify owning any dog without a proper yard
