  • I got my tickets to Kansas!

.. and I have to admit, it was nice to call in for tickets for Kansas and not be told "we're not a travel agent".

Kansas (the band0 is performing at the south Florida Fair next month. Row 5, seats 1&2.

Yeah, we'll get beer spilled on us but my wife is handicapped so the end seat is great for her. We didn't get much spilled on us ding the Blue Oyster Cult show back in January.

    You know you're dating yourself

I saw them on their 1st national tour, opening for,of all people,Fleetwood Mac,pre-Rumors.Kansas came out & just knocked everybody out, they had to do 2 encores. When Fleetwood Mac came on everybody just got up & wandered around smokin'
I kinda felt sorry for 'em later & wondered what kinda jackass promoter put that show together.

      You just dated yourself, too.

We've gotten it when trying to get tickets to see Chicago, too.

They must be desperate for gigs, though, playing at the south Florida Fair?

The desire to play can override the fact that they don't need the money & them & others still have an audience. We saw Kenny Loggins 3 years ago at a casino (we don't gamble, went for the show),he has more money than Croesus but still tours.

And yep,I'm old,I saw Black Sabbath on their 1st American tour,Ozzie was skinny & coherent

Ohhhh, the band. I was wondering why on Earth anyone would leave Florida for Kansas this time of year. (It's freakin' cold, y'all.)

                Kid!

I saw Buffalo Springfield on their final tour.

I've talked with a bus driver here (in Salt Lake) who saw the Beatles twice in LA.

                  Mmm... Kansas.

I've caught them in concert a time or two. Saw them open for ELP (during the Powell time) for the Freaks of Nature tour, and then caught them recently for the gig they did with Styx and Foreigner.

LOLZ! My first thought when I saw the thread title was, "Please be talking about the kickass band."

It sucks here. No one should want to leave their place of origin for here any time of year.
