      I actually have a bit of a talent for writing parody lyrics. I once even had a local Phoenix station close to producing one of my better parodies. And yet, the one parody I've been trying to write for years fails me utterly. Go figure.

        Here's one you wouldn't think of as dirty: Ievan Polkka.

        It isn't a polka - the tune actually predates the invention of that type of dance by a considerable margin. Instead, it's a song about a girl who defies her mother to go dancing - and more - with her suitor.

        The lyrics are in Finnish, except for the middle two stanzas which are gibberish - and predictably, it's these two which form the basis of at least two major Internet memes, one of them indirectly through the other one. So if you want to know why Miku Hatsune seems to wave a leek around a lot... now you know where to look.

        And if you don't know who Miku Hatsune is...
