  • Oh look. A Facebook message from a total stranger. How fun.

Unsolicited message from a complete stranger 200+ miles away. I changed nothing except deleting her email addresses and adding emphasis in spots:

"How are you doing? I was browsing through profiles saw your pictures thought i would say hi and I would love to get to know you maybe we can start as Friendship first. I'm new to the whole online dating thing I will keep this very short and hope you can email me . Well **hears** my e-mail add it **would be very easier** to correspond you can send me a message through ( snip) or (snip)I **hope to read from you** soon .

Its a scammer, guaranteed. That grammar (without the traditional internet shorthand grammar), from a total stranger, as you said. Would I be right in assuming those emails you cut out are all from free online providers?
Something kind of sad about the way that things have come to be.
Desensitized to everything, what became of subtlety?

I've gotten several from some "lady" that she's looking for lovin' etc. etc. I just deleted and reported them for spam.

I've gotten those. Ugh. I just block them when they come.

          That's porn spam.

I get them too. You'd be amazed at the number of broads that think I have the slightest interest in seeing their tits. Report them to FB and block them, that's about all you can do.

I get emails like that. "Linda" (or whatever fake name) sent you a message!

I mark 'em "phishing" so the same ones can't come through again but there are always more (sigh).

I get those all the time on a couple of rarely used MSN and Yahoo e-mail accounts. I really only use them when getting some freeware programs. I only check them once every couple of months and mostly what I get is "wanna be my friend????" or "See my (naughty nudge nudge wink wink) pictures at whatever.com

my trash bin is full of them.
I'm lost without a paddle and headed up SH*T creek.

Ahh, good ol' porn spam. I have yet to get one on my actual Facebook, but my junk mail filters on both Hotmail and G-Mail are chock-full of 'em. They are the sole reason why the amount of junk mail I get every day is in the low hundreds.
