So I'm watching a movie about WWII. I feel sooooo bad for the Western Union guy who has to deliver bad news via telegram to servicemen's families! No one wants to see him in the neighborhood, and he probably spends his whole route apologizing. At least pizza delivery guys might have some customers who are happy to see them.

Yeah, at the very least it's a total morale crusher having to deliver such heartbreaking news every day. It would explain the suicide rates. I suppose that's why the military handles delivering the message internally now.
