BlaqueKatt, that was poor phrasing on my part and I'm sorry that I conveyed the idea that we'd actually keep a wild animal in captivity permanently. Not now, not ever.
What I meant was that once he was old enough to take care of himself, we'd release him right here and maybe he'd make a home somewhere nearby. Then we could have a chance of seeing him zipping by once in a while. That would be too cool.
Fortunately, once he's grown, the shelter will bring him back to this part of the river, so you never know. Just might see him again.
