My mom has a cat. Anyway, when my mom came home yesterday afternoon, she suddenly realized that Chester, her cat, didn't come to greet her, like he always did. She commenced searching the house, and then gave me a panicked phone call.

I went right over, as I had been the last one there, and she thought maybe he had snuck out past me. I was certain that I saw him sitting in the kitchen as I shut the door. She was very upset, crying. She even placed a lost ad in the paper. I looked outside (even though I couldn't figure out how he could have gotten there).

In her search of the house, she had noticed a lump under the couch, and thought that I had put something there. I hadn't, but with her being upset, she thought I was lying, and she was mad. She insisted that I feel under the couch.

    So I did.

As I felt toward the center, I noticed what she was talking about. Then it moved. That idiot cat had managed to get between the under lining of the couch and the spring area, and couldn't figure out how to get back out. On top of that, he wasn't making a sound, so no one would have figured out where he went.

We moved the couch out from the wall, and tilted it back, and I got him out from in there.

Then mom canceled the lost and found ad in the paper.

Kitty in the couch reminds me of a cat a cw had. The cat hide there because it was afraid of the other cats. I think it tried to live there, since it was pooping in there too.
Time! Time! Time is what turns kittens into cats.

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.

Silly kitty! We had one that used to do that under a ratty old mattress. They like hidey-holes.
