  • Positive thoughts needed

I just got a call from one of Little Bits' suite mates. They had to call an ambulance for her due to a severe allergic reaction. I am waiting for a call from Z-Man once he gets to her.

Oh, wow. That's gotta be scary.

Hope it's nothing more serious than what's already had to be done.

Good luck. Hope you hear soon.

Last update I got was they are treating the hives and have given a shot of spi to counteract the swelling in her throat. They have drawn some blood to check to see if they can see what she is reacting to. She is trying to think what she could have come into contact with. I told her to check to see if she could have been stung in her sleep

This might be a long shot, but my coworker was bitten by a spider on her foot a couple of months ago and the reaction to that was pretty damn severe.. This is the time of year they seem to come indoors, maybe get someone to check for that, if it's possible?

I am wondering if she got stung by a yellow jacket while she was taking a nap. She said that she was so covered with hives that she could not tell if she had been stung

She is on her way back to campus. They found two yellow jacket sting sites.

That's scary but at least they know what the cause was and she's okay.

Sending get well vibes your way.

BTW, what ever happened about the crazy roommate that was making threats?

Crazy roommate is still there, but back on her meds. It came out in a meeting with all of the suite mates and the on campus councilor that she was supposed to be on meds that she was not taking. It was the girl from here and the crazy roommate that found her in distress and they got her the help she needed.

Allergic reactions are no joke, glad she is ok, and glad somebody found her. However, they have taken precautions so that this doesn't happen again haven't they?

Talked to Little Bits this morning. They have put in a maintenace ticket to get the screen fixed in the common room window. The grounds crew is also going to see if they can locate the yellow jacket nest and take care of it. The had a suite meeting last night and they are all gointg to take more precations on keeping any type of stinging insects out of the suite. They are also afraid to let Little Bits be in the suite by herself.

She is still a little groggy from the meds yesterday, and still itchy. I was talking to her as she was walking across campus to go to class this morning.
