I have fallen in love with Nivea, but I'm not crazy about preservatives. I'd like to make a homemade batch with plant oils and no fragrance. I do have good balm recipes, but I want to include a bit of epsom salt, as Nivea contains it (listed as mag. sulfate). I know it's somewhat anti-inflammatory and probably acts as a natural preserative and produces viscosity. My question is this: How much to use per 16 ounces of product? My google-fu totally fails today. I thought about seeing what proportion the package suggests for a soaking liquid. Any ideas?
