I joined the CS of a quirky internet company way back in 2000 and was introduced to the joys of this site shortly thereafter. I've been reading for years, have actively promoted it (who doesn't love the Vinegar Boy Saga as told by Aaron?) and am finally getting around to joining.
I don't expect to post much, not at first anyway. A little mini-me loves to "help" when I get online at home, resulting in any number of odd commands I didn't know were possible for a computer to execute.
I'm deeply grateful the forums are kept free of trolls and just want to express some long overdue THANKS!!! for the awesome site. You've helped the oddballs that comprise my world no end, from the daily dose of sanity to the occasional saving of a career.
So for what it's worth, thanks from the trenches. I'm honored to officially join the family.
