I currently work for a state agency that licenses physicians and some other medical professionals; before that, I worked in college as a supervisor for the third largest campus cafeteria in the U.S., and then for 2.5 years after graduation from college at a well-known regional grocery chain as cashier and deli worker.
In my current position, people generally don't contact us unless there's already something wrong, which means that they are usually already cranky. I can honestly say that good education does not make for good manners....
