Hi. I've been reading these boards for about two weeks now and have enjoyed the many tales written, so I decided to sign on so I can share my own experiences.
I've been working in hotels for the last 8 years. I started out in night audit and transferred to another hotel when our owner fired our manager (that's a story all on it's own). I got burned out working nights and going to school full time, so I moved over to maintenance when our current maint. guy was caught stealing TVs from our storage shed.
I now work loss prevention at a larger hotel which is probably my favorite position to be in for customer service as I don't have to be nice to SCs when they are being unreasonable. I also tend to have less face to face interaction with guests, which helps keep me sane.
