Hi everyone! I'm mostly a lurker, I only posted a few times on previous incarnations of the board, but I've been a longtime fan of the site ever since I found it. Maybe it's that sick sense of joy at other people's misfortunes, isn't there a word for that in German? Anyhow, pretty much all of you are my heroes for dealing with such insanity (or is it inanity) on a daily basis.

I just realized, there really isn´t a proper English word for Schadenfreude
Native speakers pronounce it like this:
Sha (as in shack)
-den (as the bears den)
-freud (as in Siegmund Freud, "eu" is always pronounced like the oy in oyster)
- e (an e with yout mouth looking like this smiley )
Greets,
Julie who is often full of Schadenfreude, toonot a native speaker of the English language, but trying!
