Okay, I've made a few posts, I guess I should do the polite thing, yank my head of the fridge and introduce myself! 
It's been a long, long while since I worked in retail. But when I did... spend about three and half years working part-time and summers in hardware store when I was in high-school. Cut my teeth on customer service there.
Spend about a year working in one of the stores in a subway station selling coffee to ciggies, chips, chocolate bars etc. When a subway came in dozens of people who just had to get their fix NOW rushing to catch a bus. It got to the point that the limiting factor on how fast I could make change was how long it took the cash drawer to cycle
One of these days I'll tell some stories about when Brinks went on strike (hint: no rolled coin from the bank..)
A few other things between then and now....
Now let's see, I swear I saw a case of beer on the bottom shelf....
