Hi, all. Short-term lurker, long-term foot-soldier in the everlasting war we know as Retail Customer Service. Nice to be here.
I'm a full-time part timer by trade... two different jobs currently on the hook over five days a week. One mixes two of my favourite things, wine and (generally speaking) nice, interesting non-sucky customers. The other mixes my LEAST-favourite things, tourists, tour guides, VIP casino guests and your garden-variety gift-shop bargain-hunters and constant-complainers.
Previously I've been a blackjack/baccarat/roulette dealer (And yes, casinos are a regular haven for SC's.) Before that, a fast-food drone for three years. (I know how to pick my jobs, huh?) And as a teen... a supermarket checkout operator and bagboy.
No wonder I'm all but burnt out on customer service at 34, huh?
