I take it that the program, often abbreviated "Adult Studies", is actually named "Graduate and Adult Studies".
Because otherwise, their reaction makes perfect sense.
"Are you an Astronaut and Customer Service Representative?"
"No, I'm a Customer Service Representative."
Though I'm curious (having worked in tertiary ed...), our 'Adult Studies' type stuff is usually non-accredited (short courses and the like - usually 'hobby' type, but some more intense), but our 'Graduate' is (post-grad stuff).
What's the deal over there?
When I said "From my research", what I actually meant to say was "Made shit up" - from a thottbot thread
We have two programs. One program is the traditional undergraduate program. The other program is our Graduate and Adult Studies program. We have nothing that separates out Graduate Studies and Adult Studies, they are, as I pointed out in the title, the same effin' thing.
