  • for use = take

Had a guest check in & start asking standard questions: where the hot tub is (he was sad he had to come down to the first floor???), etc

    Then this doosy:

G: Are there mircowaves in the room?
Me: No, sorry, there are not. We do have the one in the lobby available for use, though. (sometimes guests are okay with that)
G: Oh so I can just take it up to my room then?
Me: *gives him a strange look* Um, no that is for use down here.
G: Well, by "use" I would think that means I could just take it.
Me: No...that is for use for anyone so it must stay in the lobby.
    G: oh

    dee dee deeee much?

I offered to see if we have any available in back (which we did) and had it delivered to his room.

What in the world make him think it can just be taken to rooms? Sure, the wording might have been off but if it were the case that guests could just take it, it prolly would have been gone already. What a dumbass. And it sorta matches the breakfast decor and lobby set up, so why would be think he could take it? Sometimes I worry about society...

Kinda like the guy at the Wingate who took our candelabra up to his room and proceeded to light the candles.

    Fire hazard, anyone?
