  • I don't think that's the name of the month

I worked at the gaming store today. It was fun. Everyone missed me! (I didn't work last weekend because I was sick. )

Anyway, I answered the phone & it was one of our regular customers who also has a comic subscription with us. Let's call this gentleman Dude Morrison (DM).

Me: Thank you for call City Gaming Store, this is IDrinkaRum, how may I help you?
DM: Hi, yes, this is Dude Morrison. I was wondering if I had any comics in my folder waiting for me to pick up?
Me: Let me check Mr. Morrison, one moment please.

I walk into the back room and pull open the Comic Subscription Drawer. I check his folder and see that he has a huge folder full of comics (at least a month to a month and a half's worth of stuff).

I pick up the phone in the back room.

Me: Mr. Morrison, you have a folder full of comics waiting for you.
DM: Thank you! I'll have to wait until I get my paycheck, but I'm planning on coming in on the 22nd of Hanukkah to get them.
Me: Okay Mr. Morrison, we'll see you then.

I hang up and start laughing. Who knew Hanukkah was a month instead of being a Holiday in the month of December?

To help retailers this holiday season, Hanukkah has been extended to 30 days, and Christmas to 4 ½ days.

Or that's the rumor going around, anyway...

You gals didn't get the TPS report on that?

*sips on coffee and goes for Lumburgh voice*

You see, we decided that instead of the last month being called December it would make more sense to rename it Hanukkah, hmmkay?

Thanks DGoddess! I almost broke Rule #1.

I was just really confuzzied by the 22nd of Hanukkah. Everyone at the register had a good laugh.
