  • failed on a debit payment

Last night I bought some yummy yummy pepperoni supreme pizzas for when Becks comes over to hang out.

I decided to pull out $10 cash just for the fun of it.

Our payment machines ask you a million questions about are you suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure??? the total is correct and all that jazz.

The proper answer is always "yes".

I hit "no," thus cancelling the transaction and had to swipe my card all over again.

I honestly cannot believe I did that.

    I'm bringing disdain back...with a vengeance.

Oh, and your tool box called...you got out again.

What made it all the more sad is that I walk people through it 4-8 hours a day at work.

Bella, I know your pain! I do the same thing, too, haha.

Our machine goes in this order:

Swipe card, magnetic strip up and to the left.
      Select Payment Type.
      • EBT - enter pin - select card type - cash back
      • Store Gift Card
      • Credit - sign if total is over $25
      • Debit - enter pin - cashback? y/n - if yes, enter $ and confirm - if no, wait for processing

and if you hit the wrong button for cash back, pretend you want cash back and don't say anything OR! get really flustered and angry towards the cashier and ignore their instructions on how to get out of the screen because you're yelling over them.

Most people think when the screen resets after processing, their card was denied and proceed to swipe it another twenty times. And have panic attacks.
But that's assuming they figure out how to swipe their card.

If I go to any other store, I always try to follow the screens instructions, but some of them are so damn ambiguous!
"But the pharmacy was here this morning...!"

You should've passed it off as an Aoril Fool's Day joke.

          Never thought of it.

Thanks for not busting out the pointing and laughing smiley.

We have a pointing and laughing smiley? Though we do need one...

Nope, but I find them anyway.
