I work in a large Wal-Mart sized store, in the health and beauty department. My side of the store has all the general merchandise, toys, sporting goods, etc. The other side of the store is grocery. Tonight a guy comes up to me in the middle of health and beauty.
Him: "Where's the wine?"
Me: (puzzled, assuming I'd misheard him) "What was that?"
Him: "Wine! Wine, wine, wine, wine! Where's the wine and alcohol?"
Me: (what, am I supposed to walk this guy across the store to grocery?) "It's over in grocery...one of the first aisles..."
Him: "Thanks."
Why on earth would you come up to someone in the health and beauty care section and ask them where the wine is? Wouldn't common sense dictate that it's going to be over with the FOOD and not in the half of the store devoted to general merchandise? I've also had people ask me where tights are and I'm like, "..in the girl's clothes." "Okay, thanks!"
