How do I use the register?

Today, one of my coworkers had to ask me how to sign into the register. There's two ways to do it...
Option A: Type in your employee ID number, then press enter, then enter your PIN number. (most of us don't do that, we don't know our PIN numbers. We only use this option if we forgot to bring out ID to work with us)
Option B: Swipe your employee ID in the register.

Yes, she didn't know how to do option B.



(and she wondered why it kept saying "MAGNETIC CARD IS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYEE ID ENTRY"...)

Reminds me of an employee at the coffee shop I worked at.

I swear, every time I'd look their way when a credit card was run (we had to take the card and swipe it on the register at the time), they would run it upside down, then flip it, swipe, turn it so the stripe was the correct way, but on the wrong side, swipe, flip, swipe.

EVERY TIME.

I may get the direction of the magnetic stripe wrong sometimes, but good lord.
