Last night as I was working salesfloor, the service desk called me. "We just sold a table and they're putting it on hold. I have the form right here."
"Okay, I'll be by to pick it up in a little while." And I go back to what I was doing.
A short time later, some people come in and ask my manager about a certain dining set we have. He checked the backroom and found we had one pf that set to sell. So we sold it to them and loaded it up in their truck.
Then I went to the service desk to pick up the hold form. Turns out it was for a dining set, not a table.
Specifically, the dining set that we just sold the last of.

So now we have to hope and pray it arrives on tonight's truck, or try to get one from another store, or smooch the customer's ass when they come in to pick it up.
So yeah, my bad. I owned up to it.
