Note to self: $50 isn't the only denomination

With around 15 minutes left until the end of my shift, I noticed I had enough $50 notes to drop the usual amount in the safe. The problem was, 15 minutes later when I counted the till I didn't have enough to make up a float for the next person!

I entered $0 as my final cash drop, and it came up $130 over (i.e. the cash should have been -$130), which was what I expected... still it's kind of embarassing!

...and I did it again last night (didn't realise that the safe drop alarm is set to a lower amount at night)! Used the same cash drawer today and was short by the right amount, so I guess that's OK.

At my store they make us do 200 drops, the problem is the alarm will start coming up right as soon as you get 200.01 in your drawer.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.......what am I supposed to do with a penny?
