2 Mistakes in 1 hour

On Friday, I rung a customer up, and he handed me $60 in twenties. Well I didn't mark with the counterfeit pen. Also the customer right after him, after I rung her up, she handed me her CC, and I didn't ID her. It is a good thing that it was a Visa Card, but damn, I felt stupid the rest of the night. I never made that mistake before, and I always stress my employee's do ask for ID. I didn't get into trouble because the Owner done the same thing, also before. And I got after him for it.

What's really funny--where I work (in a casino cage) we don't even get to have the counterfeit pens! We have no way of telling unless we look at each bill. I got passed a fake fifty the other day and my dumb butt took it. It was so mangled and funny-nobody at my work thinks to tell us cashiers how to check for fake ones until AFTER we receive them! I got into trouble of course.
