i love it when i get given notice about things

So basically I was told over text last night that I needed to go down to my workplace so I could pick up and finish a first aid work booklet that is due tomorrow the 10/7 and then when I went down to pick it up today the 9/7 I was told that I had to be across town for a first aid course that the store manager had only found out about the night before

Apparently a little heads up seems to be a little to much to ask for these days


For elaboration I work at a place that sells fried chicken and is known by a 3 letter word and I'm in the process of becoming a shift supervisor but have been a team member for a few years

Oh, don't get me started.
I have a regular routine with my boss. He asks me to go to a meeting about a project I've never heard of;
Me: When?
Boss: Now. There's nothing like notice, right?
Me: Yeah, and that's NOTHING like notice!
and we both laugh. Or cry.
I've discovered why he tends to collar me at the end of my working day with no notice.
It's because that's when _his_ boss collars him.

and then you get to see that they've known about it for an entire month.
