This evening this incident jumped straight into Morons in Management territory. The first thing that happens when I come into work this evening is I'm confronted about how I should have done something different. How I should have retreated through the HK door to say I'm getting the key. The same door that no longer has a working lock. And because I didn't drop the cash quick enough, and set aside the deposits immediately, it's my fault.

    FUCK. YOU!

This. And would filing a complaint with the police help at all?

We're too small to have an HR department.

I didn't know you worked for my old boss in Missouri?

No matter what happened or what I did: I always did it wrong. Someone had to be BLAMED, and it was my function as plant scapegoat to take the blame regardless of following my boss' previous instructions to the T.

"This time, it was different, and this is how it should have been handled."

Easy to Monday morning quarterback after placing blame in the morning managers' meeting, and then place in my foul-up file with a vague description of the incident.

I better not find out about that SOB's funeral. I'm liable to drive the 500 miles just so I can tell all of the assembled mourners what a piece of work their dearly departed patriarch was.
