  • Wish me luck.

A full time year round position opened up at the resort where I work for the winter. It's kind of a long shot but I put in my application. It can't hurt to try. The job is an entry level HR position. I know I have the people skills they're looking for. I am just way out of practice on the office skills. Anyways, prayers and good thoughts are appreciated.

Good luck! The best part is that you already know the people there!

I'm getting interviewed for the job on Thursday. There's still no guarantee but it feels good that they're at least considering me. They updated the position. It would mainly be assisting the housing manager. She's really nice so I would have no problem working with her.

Thank you. I'm honestly surprised that I'm even getting an interview. My resume is about as far from office experience as you can get.

It has occurred to me that my mother was only a few years younger than I am now when she started doing secretarial work. At the time she could barely find the power button on the computer. She eventually ended up writing training manuals for new hires. It gives me hope that I could handle a complete career change like this.

Hey -- as you said, they're giving you a shot at the interview, so they must like what they see! Take that confidence into the interview, it'll work wonders.

The interview went really well. I should hear one way or another by next week. My GM told them nice things about me today so that can't hurt. Whatever happens I know I tried.
