So today was our dept's last day. I am no longer in advertising sales.

However....on Monday, I start my new job in Accounting.

They asked for a six month probationary period; if they decide that I'm not working out during that time - or if I decide I want out - I get (or give them) 30 days notice, and I will still receive the exit package my co-workers are getting now.

That's all to the good, and I hope and pray that I can make this work.

Mixed emotions - there are customers I will miss talking to , and others I'm glad I never have to talk to again Same with my CW's, actually

I've worked with these people for so many years, it's going to be weird not to see them anymore. We're planning for all of us to get together for a dinner or some other activity soon.

But for now - Onward. No other choice.

Thanks, csquared! I'm trying to stay positive and go into this with a willingness to learn. It's a job with a lot of tasks so I will be busy - which is good.

Endings always come with some sadness ... but I'm glad to hear you got an alternate in the accounting job, and the option of the exit package as well, if the alternate doesn't work out. Best wishes to you!
