For those who may be newer to CS, Mike H. was an infamous poster on Planet Feedback who wrote many letters objecting to almost everything on television. Most of us had a picture of him as a fat, nerdy, loner type who lived in his mother's basement and watched TV for hours. We wondered whether his vocal protests really were a cover for his own perverted thoughts caused by seeing women in skimpy clothing, etc.

He once mentioned that he worked at Wally World, so I thought it would be funny if this guy turned out to be Mike H.
That wouldn't be funny in the least.

Some good points there, Canarr, but if memory serves you're from Germany. I believe your age of consent is lower than ours in the UK, and ours is sixteen. The usual age of consent in the US is eighteen.

I'm German, yes; and our age of... "unlimited consent" for lack of a better word, is 16 as well. And please note, under no circumstances do I condone sex with a minor under the age of consent.

The point I was trying to make was that sexual attraction to a girl - or a boy, for PC's sake - does not necessarily make one a pervert. Merely the fact that the object of one's attraction is under the legal age is no indication for a deviant behavior, AS LONG AS the attraction is not BECAUSE of the other's young age.

Now, acting on this attraction would potentially make it a crime, if the other person is under age. Merely looking, does not.
You gotta polish a memory like a stone. Chip off the parts that remind you it was just a game. Work it until it's indistinguishable from any other memory.

        There's a different cultural slant.

But you can't tell for sure by looking whether a girl is 16, 18, or 20. Age of consent is when a person is legally permitted to consent to sex, nothing more. If a girl's hot, she's hot, and there's nothing a number or a law is gonna do about that.

Personally, I draw the pervert line at puberty. If the girl's 12, that's sick. If the girl's 16, and looks physically mature, that's perfectly normal, and every straight guy does it. Even if said guy is 50, it's gross, but it's natural.

Just my from the POV of someone still beneath the American age of consent...

Arguably, if someone's old enough to work in a waged job, like a restaurant, they are probably "old enough" for just looking not to be a crime, if you see what I mean.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

There are many perverts in the world, and simply because this guy admitted to his perverted mindset doesn't justify banning him from the place. Like you said, he gives no other hassle other than having B.O. If the females working the place really are that attractive, I'd bet a good majority of the other males that dine in the restaurant are there partially for the same reason - to observe.
I don't see what is perverted about his mindset. He's a man who likes to look at women he finds attractive. Wow, you could knock me over with a feather.

Personally, I think your gut is telling you something. A lot of people think that women's intuition is a load of bull, but when you get a creepy feeling, it's usually for a very good reason. Technically, he's not doing anything illegal right now, but if it were me, I'd take steps to make sure I'm not vulnerable. If you're working late at night, always make sure you leave in groups and walk everyone to their cars. And actually, that's good advice even if you don't notice any creepy guys around.

Mighty Girl, that's 100 percent dead on. I stand by my opinion of the guy in and of himself, but if people are getting bad vibes, then yes, those vibes should trump any other bits of logic floating around.

You have that little voice in your head for a very good reason. She's right, listen to it.

Doesn't sound like you have much to worry about to me either.

Besides, if the guy were attractive would you be this worried?
