So I decided to play a little joke on a co-worker the other day (so what's new, right?). I had been planning this one for a while but the time was never right, this wasn't right etc..
Well, the other day everything was right. Everyone was in a good mood, it wasn't busy, and he had his laptop.
See, some of my coworkers being in their laptops to work with their wireless cards (we get a good plan for those). So, I took one of the dummy aircards, wrote his name in marker on it (as close to as he has it written on there as I could) pulled his card out, then put in the fake dummy unit.
Don't forget, we're the store techs. We fix these things. You should have seen him trying to get it to work (no lights, no connection, nothing). We didn't reveal the joke until he was going to confiscate one of the tech computers to troubleshoot the card.
The poor guy never thought to look at the serial number sticker that said "NON-WORKING DISPLAY UNIT".
