I also hate it when they try and change the schedule WHEN I AM AT WORK! One time I was scheduled off at 2:30 and when I went to clock out one of the checkers said "Kitty where do you think you are going?" I replied I am going home cuz I have things I have to do." They then say that the schedule was changed due to a co irker not coming in . I simply reply "Sorry, I gotta go anyway. I made plans that I am NOT going to break." So far I havn't been spoken to by management but when and if they do speak to me for it I will simply say "you said store policy is to follow the schedule to a T. That is what I am doing. Following the schedule the way it was originally written.
