So, for the second shift in a row of mine, the security guard hasn't shown up to relieve me at midnight.
First time was Sunday. Called boss at 10 after midnight, then he showed up about a half hour later, and sent me home. Turns out no one was scheduled for Sunday nights. So he and his boss had a meeting with the security company, and got that all straightened out. Today, he thanked me for staying the extra bit before he left for home.
Which leads me to 15 minutes ago. Again, guard doesn't show up. Called boss man at 5 after, he told me to call security at the main campus. So I did, and they said they'd call dispatch, then call me back. So I figured I'd wait until campus security called before I'd call the boss.
So, time passes, waiting. Bossman calls me, wondering what's up, just as the other phone rings. Caller ID said the security contractor (I think), but when I went to pick it up, it got either disconnected, or they hung up. Either way, I got nothing. So, now here I sit. Waiting for someone to tell me something. Shouldn't be here too long though, I think. I am darned curious to know what's up though.
