A little hard work never killed anyone. Besides, don't you want to see what you're capable of? Don't you like a challenge?
Something like three weeks without one day off? At least 7 ½ hours each day? A bit of a challenge...didn't complain at the time, but...I don't think I'd do it again anytime soon.

I think FashionLad is quite entitled to some time off. He is also a student. Where I live, college kids don't work, or only work 10-15 hours a week. I think it's fricken admirable when a college kid takes on so much responsibility. BUT that much work and school will burn you out.

I will be the first person to mentally bitchslap a stupid kid screaming about having to work an 8 hour shift, but at the same time, I will be the first person to lend a shoulder and listening ear to a person who is being forced to work weeks in a row without a day off.

You young whippersnappers always complaining about how much work you have to do. Sheesh!
Hmmm...it would appear your advanced age is causing your arrogance to show a bit.

I think if you spent a day in Fashion Lad's shoes, you'd sing a slightly different tune where he is concerned.
I have dealt with my share of young people who do nothing but whine about having to work hard, but I have to say, Fashion Lad is one young person who has always impressed the heck out of me.

Take time to learn about a person before jumping to snap conclusions and going for the easy criticism and cheap shots.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

I can totally sympathize, Fashion Lad.

I work way more hours than I'd like, because every time something even remotely complicated or different happens, my boss wants me to do it with her. New staff member? I have to train them. Inventory? I have to do it. We need to place an order, set up our Christmas displays, put together a schedule, or meet with the DM? Always me. And I always agree to the extra hours because my boss is right - I really am needed for those things.

Maybe we should start slacking off and screwing up.
