My (ex) boss was fired today.
Can't say I'm sorry. But can't say I'm alltogether happy about it either...
My former boss was just like me, a service jockie. Just another drone... But he got promoted to Manager....
Cept they expected HIM to be a Manager AND a service tech. For those not in the know, my company is a 24/7 service company with a propensity to giving out free parts and service to people who pay enough. THEN they start bitching when it bites them in the ass!
Did I mention that they don't supply the field techs with parts to actually ACCOMPLISH this task???
I'm a bit happy that the person respsonsible for me being abused this last year has been canned. But I'm damn sad that a fellow tech has been abused to the point of unemployment. I just don't know how to feel. His replacement talks a fine game.... But please forgive me for the management viewing.. the replacement sounds like he's been brainwashed in "managerese"...
I am just tired of 50 hour weeks seeming normal.
I am tired of lying to customers because it's.. "Good"
I am tired of not having the toolsslashpartsslashtime to do what I'm contractually bound to do!!!!
