    Gremlins

    We had gremlins today...

    -one pump shut itself down and displayed "ERROR 38" on the screen. The documentation we have only lists errors 00-37.
    -a receipt printer went crazy and printed 27 copies of the one receipt. It would have done more if we hadn't switched it off.
    -the fuel price changed to $0.000 then back to what it should have been for no apparent reason
    -my till didn't print the reconciliation report, so I had to look at it on screen and copy it out by hand (the boss watched me so he knows I was accurate)
    -as I was leaving, two co-workers started frantically looking for the till manual for the not-KFC next door.

            yeah, probably time zone differences. By the time Monday ends in my part of the world it's just begun somewhere else.

            All the little problems were fixed today! The boss managed to reprint my shift report (despite that being impossible according to the documentation), the pump with the error got its fuse replaced, and all the tills and printers are working fine. (except that one till thinks it has a second printer attached which is switched off, but that doesn't affect normal operations)
