Well, I still am, but it's not as bad. My boss is surrounded by enough paper to save a small forrest. It's all drawings, contracts, etc. He just lays them on a table "so he can get to them" rather than file them. But it's a PITA when he's not at work and we have to find something.
Your boss and my old boss must have been related.

We've got storage boxes filled with papers he absolutely had to keep but he never had time to go through them. So, we'd clear his desk off about once a year or so so he would have room to work and not have things avalanche off the sides all the time.

Among the things in the scatter have been cash, checks, bills, orders... you get the idea. He actually once used several thousand dollars (in cash) as a bookmark and forgot it was there.

    ^-.-^

      Good grief Andara Bledin

He gets mad at me because every so often I'll throw things out, or move things to better spots, then of course, right after that he needs it even though he hasn't for months/years, etc.

I've pretty much given up trying to get him to better himself, which is why I'm not as OCD as I used to be.

OMG, Difdi, I have to try that with the magnet. We have to provide our own tools, and mine keep disapearing. I work at a locksmiths, so locking the cabinet doesn't help much (they have picks) Hmmm..... wonder how I can get a power feed to the tool cabinet without them noticing.......

I gave up on OCD a lond time ago. I would straighten a shelf, then the boss would go looking for something and 5 mins later it would look worse than before. After a few years I just simply started giving up on keeping this place straightened.

So has anyone else go OCD at work or am I the lone wolf?
I think I should just stick to laughing meniacally rather than going into a lengthy explanation, but yes, yes I do. Constantly.
