    So I did this yesterday.

While buiding tower scaffolding was an entertaining way to spend the morning, learning about health and safety was not. It was all to ensure we comply with theWorking at Height Regulations (2005), since 48% of workpace accidents happen at height.

It did contain such gems as,

Any use of ladders or steps must be preceeded by a written risk assessment.

My son's school made him look up the MSDR (I think that's the term: manufacturer's safety data resource or something like that) sheets for Sharpie Markers since they were being used in school.
      MSDS. Sheet instead of resource.

CG: They want a written risk assessment every time? Geez, just premake a bunch for the really common situations, and then fill in the date as applies! Ugh.

I have to wear safety goggles and gloves every time I unpack a case of wine. Its ludicrous. I handle more bottles of wine serving customers than I do unpacking a case.

You should see the look on people's faces when they walk in and see me handling wine like it was sort sort of freakin' bio-hazard.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com

You don't need to (written) risk asses every time. It is sufficient to have a generic policy risk assesment where you identify all likely hazards and reduce the risk of those occuring, you then display said assesments and get staff to sign to say they have read them.

          Easy.
A PSA, if I may, as well as another.
