Think I Scared A Kid
So I'm at work (where else would I be?) and after I ring up someone I notice this kid in my toy isle playing Bowling with the dodge-balls we have.
I stood at the end of the isle and just stared at him until he noticed me, at which point he halted. He has this weird smug little smirk on his face and I guess he didn't think I was all that much a bother, seeing as he was almost my height (can't help being short).
I just stared at him for a bit before I spoke, in a low soft voice like a small child asking permission to pet a sleeping puppy, and very slowly. "When...you're done playing...will you put up the toys?"
Please note, I am a tiny thing and being around perverts all my life I've picked up on a few things. This kid's little eyeballs got big as saucers and he nodded silently, at which point I said my thanks, continuing in that very soft tone, and went back to filling glasses.
When I checked back later the toy isle was clear.
