I noticed the price at one of my local petrol stations on my way to work today, and it was lower than the price where I work. So I filled up on my way home. I'd neglected to take off my uniform top first.

CSR: "So, you work for *store name*?"
Me: "Yeah, at *suburb*. I noticed your price on my way to work this morning. You're cheaper than us today."
CSR: "Traitor! *grins* Actually I live there but work here, maybe we should switch jobs."


Now that would be nice actually. A 5 minute drive to work instead of 35 minutes.

haha. reminds me, I have a co worker who left a competitor because my store pays a very hefty amount more than that store, and got called a traitor. if an employer wants loyalty they gotta show a little themselves and match any better job offers you may get. and retail can't expect loyalty
