Mmm I love overtime, especially since our system is set up by some arcane and outdated formula that results in OT being available with 30 minutes between calls.

:cy: global traffic is actually pretty accurate in their guessing on how many calls are coming in so I almost never get 30 minutes between calls...

however, there are some days where global traffic admits that they have no idea how many calls we will get, we could be swamped, we could be dead, so just to be safe they offer unlimited overtime... sounds like a good plan... because after all if it's really slow people can volunteer to go home early without pay... here's where it gets stupid though, only the people who are regularly scheduled can volunteer, if you are doing overtime you can't get out of your hours... so yes, they can only send home people making standard time but are not allowed to send home people making time and a half... seems nonsensical but if they are going to pay me time and a half to sit and do nothing I'm more than happy to accept their money.

I told BF how many OT hours I had gotten last month (50). I loved watching his jaw drop and fall to pieces on the floor. So far this month I have 3 hours and it's only the sixth!
