I love the things, but then I read signs and if I know I have something that is going to be an issue I find a nice cashier.

The best ones are at Costco. I do my mom's shopping a lot. She jokes that it is the only way she stays on a list

It is easier to go through the self check the annoy the cashier and the other people with my 2 orders on 2 different debit cards.

But I do see a lot of people who have a ton of problems with those things.

I've had no problems using them, but they're a pain to run because people don't read or listen to the prompts. Then, you have those who don't realize that the bagging area is a scale, so if you put your purse on it, it's going to halt your order. What's annoying is when people don't read the sign that says "Cash Only" or "Credit Card Only" then complain when their card isn't going through.
